This Blog is all about a private restoration project of a Jaguar E-Type on highest level with special attention to the originality of the car.

The E-Type was launched to the world in March 1961 at the Geneve Motor Show in Switzerland. It had an incredible impact to all important car shows around the world. For example: more then 5000 cars could be sold at the US Motor Show in New York in April 1961.

875811 is a Jaguar E-Type Flat Floor Roadster built in October 1961. It’s one of 1470 LHD OTS which were built at this year. The car was a „Personal delivery“ which means it was picked up by the customer itself in Coventry. Therefore its in the records with its own Coventry number registration plate „250WK“.

Originally Carmen Red with a Red interior, per the Jaguar Heritage Certificate it will be finished with the period correct and original Jaguar color combination Opalescent Silver Blue with a Dark Blue interior.

The cylinder head, factory block and transmission are original matching number parts. All numbers are correct and proofed by the Jaguar Heritage Certificat.

875811 is about to undergo a high level restoration together with professional and enthusiastic german workshops around Dresden, Germany.
